Alternative Power Supply introduces a new line of Grid Tie wind turbines in 1500, 3000 and 6000 watts. The Bornay wind turbines are integrated with the Power One grid tie inverter. They produce 240V grid compliant AC and meet UL 1741 requirements.

Alternative Power Supply customers are the first in Michigan to take advantage of the USDA Farm Grant for wind turbine and solar installations.
Customers who are eligible for this grant can receive 25% of their installed systems cost rebated. This grant is for small businesses or farmers in rural areas

Alternative Power Supply provided the components and design assistance for a 6kw wind turbine grid interactive system. APS worked in conjunction with the electrical apprentice trainees on the installation of the wind turbine and inverter system.

This new wind turbine is specifically designed for the residential market in areas where tower heights are limited to thirty feet. It is designed for lower wind speed areas and can produce approximately 400 kwh in a 12 mph average windspeed.
